Fun in Florida!

November 29, 2007 · No Comments

I went to Florida for thanksgiving vacation. It was much needed break. 4days of pure fun. I met Prad (my school buddy) and his 2 friends - Narayanan and Dinakar. Dinakar was reserved and Narayanan was talkative. And for Prad, he is as usual - getting worried if things are not in line. Only change I can see is geesh..he is losing hair. We went to end of USA - yep- Keywest and the gl-amorous Miami .  We were running behind everything - girls, time and even at one time - gas too. We are about to run out of gas while returning back and never I have imagined shell gas station as pit stop to heaven. Pradeepan had planned good and he and his roomie Nara took the pain of driving us all the way. Thanks buds.

Lost in lingerie line!

November 18, 2007 · 2 Comments

I am doing thanksgiving shopping now. That time of the year where you are supposedly get big discounts/sales. My wardrobe was shouting about lack of attention. We were shopping in Macys. As usual we split up  and failed to re-group at predetermined point. I went to hunt for my roomie when I accidently entered womens section. I was wondering why the heck all eyes were upon me. Only then I realised I was in lingerie section.  My eyes were wide open capturing  like a multi-shot camera! Here is a funny comparision with mens innerwear section.

  • Mens section would be few racks. But the womens innerwear section was a mile long. Seems the shorter the womens garment, longer the display section.
  • Mens garments would be three-four standard colors. Womens section would cover the entire rainbow and its million combination.
  • Men size just has either numbers or letters. S,M or L or 32,33,34. But for women you need both due to the million variations. 32B, 34DD
  • Proverb for Men section: Behind every man’s behind there is a brief. Women section: Many will flip between the cup and the hip

Happy Deepavali!

November 9, 2007 · 1 Comment

Its the time of the year
to light the fire cracker
And wish happy deepavali
to all my friends and family
But sitting away in a faraway land not a soul to greet
finding warmth in my coffee’s heat
thinking of the good times that went in the past
wondering why such things never long last
time waits for none is an old  adage
and three things that become better with age
old songs
old friends and
old wine
